Sunshine in Your Cup: Study Says Coffee Drinkers are Happier People Overall

A new poll conducted by Café Don Pablo has concluded that coffee drinkers are happier people overall. The poll surveyed 1,000 people and found that those who participated in the study reported drinking coffee in the morning boosts happiness by 13 percent.

The study also found 43 percent of coffee drinkers would call themselves happy people versus 39 percent of non-coffee drinkers who define themselves as happy. Participants helped uncover a few more benefits due to drinking coffee in the morning: they’re more health conscious, don’t have as much difficulty falling asleep at night, and 57 percent say their productivity levels at work are increased with 41 percent saying their productivity levels are increased in general.

The study, which surveyed people across the country, also found that those who do not drink coffee in the morning are more likely to eat three meals a day, with one in five more likely to get into an argument with their significant other if they don’t have their coffee in the morning.

With these happiness booster findings, it’s a good thing there are more coffee drinkers than non-coffee drinkers in America.A total of 77 percent of Americanssay they drink coffee regularly, with 59 percent saying they drink it daily.
