US Coffee’s Bob Stimell Retires After 19 Years

Bob Stimell, a US Coffee sales manager, has retired after nearly two decades with the company. Stimell started with US Coffee when it was still a small, local coffee supplier 19 years ago, and became a part of its evolution into the well-respected leader in the office coffee service industry it is today. Before joining US Coffee, Stimell worked in the travel industry for 35 years as a vice president.

While we’re based in Hicksville, US Coffee has a strong presence in Brooklyn and all five boroughs. Stimell was a sales manager for Brooklyn and Staten Island.

“When I hit 80 in February, I realized it was about that time,” Stimell told the Brooklyn Progress about his decision to retire after working in sales and marketing for a total of 60 years. His advice to professionals in the sales and marketing industry is, “Just be yourself and make friends. Everything else will fall in line,” adding of his accomplishments,“I’m proud that major companies that came on board with me over 19 years ago are still loyal customers of US Coffee and office supplies.”

Stimell looks forward to spending more time with his family in retirement, including his wife of 53 years, Sandy, his two daughters and three grandchildren. He will also have more time to enjoy one of his favorite hobbies, singing in a barbershop quartet.
